I'm also not sure why I'm being told my symbols are wrong when I'm using the MS symbol server? I've done some basic digging through the DrWatson log and poked the crash dump with windbg, but I'm at the edge of what I understand here. Installed another copy of the app into a different VM (Win10 Tech Preview) and it runs correctly, so I'm pretty sure it's not actually the app's fault, and probably something with DLLs on this XP VM. I've tried a new user profile and that didn't help, so I'm not sure what else to try. It launches, displays GUI, and immediately crashes. The problem here is that my particular installation of XP (happens to be a VM in Parallels on a Mac) doesn't want to run the app, and I can't figure out why. This app is most commonly run under WinXP because it kind of sucks in many ways.

This limited warranty specifically excludes the URC equipment sold by unauthorized resellers. So I have an app that I can't get support on (long story - programming software for an expensive remote control, support only provided to dealers - this was not pirated, it was legitimately given to me by the dealer and they're allowed to do this, but I get zero handholding in this situation).
